2013 Medical Alumni Reunion Day
The Wayne State University School of Medicine Alumni Association is pleased to present the Medical Alumni Reunion Day that is to be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
Reunion is a special opportunity for alumni, resident alumni, graduate alumni, and friends to get together and reminisce with classmates and old friends. While all alumni are invited back for every reunion the main focus will be on the special reunion classes of 1943, 1948, 1953, 1958, 1963,1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003, and 2008. These classes will hold a class reunion cocktail reception prior to the awards reception and dinner. It is a time for classes to anticipate the sharing of memories, anecdotes and nostalgia that made their class a special one. Along with the reunion events, a special reunion class donation campaign will be initiated for maximizing financial support for the School of Medicine for alumni in their milestone years.
We are pleased that we are able to host the Dr. Morris S. Brent Lectureship that is comprised of CME activities that also provide an opportunity to receive continuing medical education credits for those attending the event.
This wonderful day of learning, revisiting old friends and recognition will provide a great way to regain the spirit of your experience here at the School of medicine and reaffirm your lifetime commitment to your profession and your school. This annual event consists of: A continental breakfast, a full day of CME activities, a business luncheon, a tour of the medical school, special class reunions and the awards reception and dinner. The Lawrence M. Weiner Award, The Recent Alumni Award and the Distinguished Alumnus Award will be presented.
