The outstanding legacy we, as alumni, leave is not only one of commitment to improving the health of our communities, but one that involves sharing time and resources with future physicians.  Gifts to the Wayne State University Medical Alumni Annual Fund support activities and organizations that enhance the lives of medical students as well as allow our School of Medicine to attract the most talented medical students regardless of their financial circumstances.

  Examples are:

  • medical student scholarships and loans;
  • student activities and organizations including - Match Day, White Coat Ceremony, Student Senate retreat, Career Day, Family Day, Welcome Ceremony, the honors program and community outreach programs
  • summer research fellowships;
  • student academic success programs
  • student research projects
  • the Multidisciplinary Biochemical Research Building

Be Part of the Legacy and Make a Gift

Throughout the year, alumni and student volunteers call graduates of the School of Medicine to request financial gifts that support the Alumni Annual Fund and to personally thank them for their past support.  This year our goal is $530,000.

On behalf of the students and faculty at the WSU School of Medicine, we wish to thank our 2119 alumni who gave more than $480,000 to the Alumni Annual Fund in fiscal year 2012-2013.  Your investment demonstrates your commitment and belief in the future of the School of Medicine and its students.
